With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Smith of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, born in Clifton, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Smith (Iha) and Frank Smith (Kovacs); his brothers, Frank S. Smith, Jr. and Dr. Robert L. Smith; and his son-in-law Todd Stickles.

He is survived by: his significant other Gladys Theresa Finelli; his children, William Smith Jr. of Raritan, NJ, Laura Stickles of Tucson, AZ, Felicia Smith-Fulda (Andrew) of High Bridge, NJ and Stephanie Dunlop (Steve) of Vernon, NJ; his grandchildren, Stephen, Elise (Kenny), Theresa, Steven (Amber), Jeffrey (Colleen), Susannah, Jessica (Tomas), Amanda, Joseph and Brian (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Grace, Whitney and Dalton; his pet Clara; and his siblings, David J. Kovacs and Emilie Smith.
