He was predeceased by: his spouse Angela Sampson; and his brother Roger Sampson. He is survived by: his children, Allan Sampson (Terri) of Long Valley, Scott Sampson (Lori) of Berkeley Heights and Janice Sampson of Westfield; his siblings, Joan Sampson Sterrett, Kenneth Sampson and Judith Sampson Strauss; his grandchildren, Lauren Coloma, Erica, Gregory and Krista Sampson; and his great grandchild Lorenzo Coloma.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Meals-On-Wheels or an organization for the elderly.
