She was predeceased by: her husband Julio Acosta; her sister Dalia Capote; and her brother-in-law Pedro Capote. She is survived by: her children, Cristina Alvarez and Julio T. Acosta; her son-in-law Luis Alvarez; her grandchildren, Arianna Bastidas (Mark), Victoria Mazon (Daniel), Alexandra Alvarez, Melissa Acosta and Eric Acosta; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Olivia Bastidas, Xavier and Leo Mazon.
