He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Freund; his former wife Carol Freund; his wife Tess Freund; and his son Michael Freund. He is survived by: his father Henry Freund; his children, David Freund (Kate), Cynthia Klocinski (Hank) and Paul Freund (Kylie); his daughter-in-law Linda Freund; his grandchildren, Erika, Michael, Sam, Dan, Erin, Carli, Colleen, Brian, Jack and Steven; and his great grandchildren, Addilyn, Emilia, Logan, Greyson, Savanah, Ruby, Otto, Michael, Alexis, Carter and Elijah.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maguire Memorial Home & Cremation Services (124 High St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (327 Greenwich St, Belvidere, NJ 07823).
