He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Demeter and Elizabeth Demeter (Hoffman). He is survived by: his wife Ellen Johnson-Demeter (Mackey); his daughters, Sue McEvoy (Gerard), Sandra Simone (Pascal) and Jill Redfern (Thomas); his grandchildren, Phoebe Matlock (Kevin), Faith Sassaman (Garrett), Maren Wilson (Erik), Olivia Simone, Nicholai Redfern, Vivian Simone, Cecily Redfern, Clint McEvoy, Victor Simone and Clay McEvoy; his great grandchildren, Berkley, Levi and Oaks Matlock; his sister Betty Jane Newhouse (David) of Belvidere, NJ; his niece Betty Jean; his nephew David, Jr.; his brother Richard (Emily) of Bath, PA; and his sons, Richard II, Daniel, Patrick, Timothy and Frank.
