She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin H. Kirk and Grace Van Kirk (Kinney). She is survived by: her children, Sharon Rahman (Ata) and Steven Whitney (Holly); her grandchildren, Jared Whitney (Marisa), Jillian Pearson (Eric), Shaun Behn, James Whitney (Sarah) and Zachariah Rahman; and her great grandchildren, Humair, Mehar Kirmani, Tariq, Robin Bokhari and Bakhtiar Shah.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barbara's name to Shriner's Hospital, Disabled American Veterans, or the Belvidere Ambulance Corps.
