He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Aloysius (Emma Agnes Hayes) and Belmar; his wife Doris Jean; his brothers, Daniel H. (Danny) and John F. Hayes (Jack); and his son-in-law William McCarthy (Bill).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Hayes of Wall, Dennis Hayes (Lisa Johnson) and Kathleen "Kassie" McCarthy of Oakland, NJ; his grandchildren, Colleen Mason, Meghan Harris, Michael, John Hayes, Grace and Thomas McCarthy; and his great grandchildren, Oakley and Mia Harris. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ 07719). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Rd., Browns Mills, NJ 08015 or the Manasquan Elks Lodge # 2534, 17 Stockton Lake Blvd., Manasquan, NJ 08736-3015.
