He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth Shields; his children, Baby Boy and Tyler Michael Shields; his parents, Doug Shields and Liz Shields; his siblings, Jason Shields (Julie), Missy DalBon (Blair) and David Shields (Amber); his nieces and nephews, Dylan, Samantha Shields, Callee DalBon, Amyrha and Aslan Shields; and his parents-in-law, Mary and James McGlone.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bible Chapel Recovery Ministry.
