She was predeceased by: her husband Carl L. Thompson; her son Herbert A. Thompson; and her brother Maurice "Sonny" Whildin Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Carol Anne Anderson (late John P. Anderson) and Bruce Thompson (Linda); her grandchildren, Heather Green (Jeffrey), Angel Marti Ramos (Wilfredo), Kelly Palmer (Gregory), Annemarie Woodward (Eric), Megan Mills (Tyler), Mark Thompson and Jeff Thompson; and her brothers, Herbert Whildin and Edward "Dorry" Whildin.
