He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingo Vargas and Martina "Modesta" Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Vargas; his children, Marcos S. Vargas (Emelyn), Grace Vargas (Javier) and Rebeca L. Diaz (David); and his grandsons, Elias D. Diaz, Abram N. Diaz and Jason S. Avella.
