She was predeceased by: her husband Juan; and her siblings, Carmen Hatsue Higa, Rosa Mitsuko Higa, Julio Seiyu, Jose Masanori Higa and Juan Masanobu Higa.

She is survived by: her daughters, Maria "Harumi" Uyehara, Miriam Miyasato (Willy) and Caty Takemoto (Alberto); her siblings, Luisa Setzoko Higa, Florinda Masao Higa and Alejandro Masao Higa; and her grandchildren, Maria, Kenny, Michelle Suemi, David Hide, Yasmine Sachie, Julio and Sergio.
