He was predeceased by: his parents, Angeline Ferraro and John Schaeffer; his sister Nancy Fisher; his grandson Lorenzo Dondero; and his aunt Teresa Juliano.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Schaeffer, Jason Schaeffer and Kristen Dondero; his grandchildren, Christopher Schaeffer Jr., Rocco Dondero, Soraya Schaeffer, Brylan Romain and Salvatore Parente; his wife Elena Schaeffer; and his siblings, John Schaeffer Jr. and Sandra Commisso. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Megaro Memorial Home, Inc. (503 Union Ave, Belleville, NJ 07109). A procession was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).
