He was predeceased by: his parent Manuel Gomes Barbosa. He is survived by: his parent Custodia Alves Rodrigues; his spouse Maria Barros; his children, Jose Antonio Barbosa and Elly Barbosa; his siblings, Avelino, Manuel, Fernando Barbosa and Fernanda Lago Ponte; and also Ceu Gomes Barros.
