He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Skaar; and his daughter-in-law Eleanor Skaar. He is survived by: his wife Vivian Skaar; his children, Donald Skaar (Jeanne) and Kristin Banko (Jeffrey Banko); his grandchildren, Lucy Skaar, Christina, Jackson and Allison Banko; and also, Sem and Inga.
