He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Higgins and Florence Higgins; and his sister Barbara McLachlan. He is survived by: his wife Carol Amerman; his children, Jon (Tracy), Christopher (Becky), Amy and Bonnie (Tom Sullivan); his grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Joseph, Jessica, Ryan and Benjamin; his great grandchild Nicholas; his nephew Morgan McLachlan III; and his niece Leigh McLachlan.
