He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. "Chuck" and Helen "Lala" Gilbert; and his brother James "Jimmy" Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rongo-Gilbert; his children, Nicole (Robert Cullen), James Gilbert and Kali Gilbert; his sister Mary "Mickey" Pepchinski; and his grandchildren, Ciara and Brynn Cullen. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.
