He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Gillam, and George H. Gillam, Sr.; his wife Dora; his daughter Dorene Cafiero; and his siblings, Preston Gillam and Irene Gillam.

He is survived by: his sons, George H. Gillam, III (Lena) of Belford and Lewis (Tracey Gillam). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
