He was predeceased by: his father Benjamin Snyder; his wife Miriam (Cathy); and his siblings, Richard, Charles, Sylvester, Mabel, Betty, Vivian, Grace, Marian, Jean and Rose.
He is survived by: his son Scott Douglas (Dale); his grandchildren, Shawna and Scott (Laura); his great grandchildren, Scott, Caroline and George; his siblings, Annabelle, Shirley and Edward; and his caregiver Faustina Amono.
