He was predeceased by: his former wife Clare; and his siblings, Adam, Anne, Theresa, Marie, Elizabeth, Paul and Madeline.

He is survived by: his children, Clare Haack (Thomas) and Gerald Kuhar (Jaclyn); his grandchildren, Joseph (Amy), Sarah, Dr. Nicole (Christopher), Carson and Gabrielle; his great grandchildren, Joey and Gabe; and his fiancée Joan Whelan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
