He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sisters, Lisa Richards, Eliot Stewart, Mill House Racing Stable, America Alive, Brilliant, Trappe Shot and Rattlesnake Bridge; his parents, James C. Brady and Eliot Brady; his close friends, Mill House Associates and Realty Corporation; his wife Joan Babcock Brady; his children, James C. Brady III (Anne Lusk Brady), Joan "Nonie" Brady (Wilhelm Merck) and Kerry Chace Brady (Brock Dolman); his granddaughters, Audrey Slade Brady and Millicent McKay Brady; and also, James Cox Brady and Ian Highet.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Brady's memory may be made to LifeCamp, a summer camp for inner city youth, long supported by the Brady family (greaternewarklifecamp.org).
