He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Slater Jr. and Anna T. Slater; and his brother John T. Slater. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rinaldi; his pet Bruzer; his siblings, MaryAnn Slater, Nancy M. Cumming (Craig), William J. Slater and Martin H. Slater (Gina); and his nieces and nephews, JulieAnn Cumming, Chelsey Cooney, Meghan Hook, Mary Ferrara, John Ferrara and Michael Cumming.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (50 Short Hills Ave, Short Hills, NJ 07078). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
