He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Mary Salpas; his children, Stephanie Gindele (Protus Mayunga), Matthew Gindele and Bonnie Gindele; his grandchildren, Elijah, Achaia, Protus Jr., Erastus, Sabina, Lilly, Carlee, Nola and Evie; and his siblings, Kathleen and Joseph.
