He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father John "Mickey" Ward; his stepfather Kenneth Ward; his son Ryan Ward (Angela); his grandchildren, Ryan Jr., Christina and Shane; his mother Ellen Ward; and his siblings, Maryellen Musgrove, Barbara Ann Ward, Francis Ward and Kathleen B. Tihanich.
