He was predeceased by: his parents, Silverio Diaz and Juanita Diaz (Cabrera); his brother Jose Diaz; and his brother-in-law John Patrick. He is survived by: his daughter Doreen; his brother Carlos A. Diaz; his grandchildren, Brian K., Jasmine A. and Devin M. Dameron; his great grandchild Serenity Dameron; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Kondratiuk (Serge) and Robert Patrick.
