He was predeceased by: his parent Bronislawa Szemiot (Juszkiewicz); and his brothers, John Szemiot and Witold Szemiot. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Christine Cappadoccia (John), Paul (Debra), John and Joseph (Nicole); and his grandchildren, David, Celeste, Derek Cappadoccia, John Richard and Emily Rose Szemiot. He is also survived by many sisters in law, brothers in law, and nieces, nephews.
