With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Hilinsky of Bayonne, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on October 14, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joan departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joan. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Hilinsky (Bernie); her parents, James Gardner and Pauline Gardner (Thies); her children, Paula Matos and William "Billy" Hilinsky; and her siblings, Ann Gardner, Robert and William Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Alexander and Richard "Ricky" Hilinsky (Kathleen "Sissy"); and her son-in-law David Matos. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
