He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Kertis and George Kertis; his wife Gladys; and his sister Mary Kimak. He is survived by: his niece Joyce Patterson; his nephew Michael Kimak; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christopher Kimak, Kertis Patterson, Rachel Edmunds, Julian and Rosie.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, private funeral services will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. A Memorial Gathering will take place at a later date.
