Ava Finnerty Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2021, at the age of 72, Ava Finnerty (Bayonne, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sonia Jessen and John Jessen; her siblings, Carole, Charles, John and Glen Jessen; and her siblings-in-law, Raymond Nethercott, Mary Finnerty and Daniel Finnerty.

She is survived by: her husband Joseph P. Finnerty; her children, Kristen Scarpelli (Anthony), Jill Rokosz (Eddie) and Sean Patrick Finnerty (Michelle); her grandchildren, Aislinn, Aidan, Owen, Leon and Gwendolyn; her close friend Jeanne Kelly; her stepgrandchildren, Madison and Brandon Rokosz; her brother Christian Jessen (Christine Robertell); and her siblings-in-law, Beth, Camille Jessen, William Finnerty (Rosemary), Kevin Finnerty (Kristan), James Finnerty (Carolyn), Dottie Finnerty (Ron Unterman), Patricia Finnerty, Anne Finnerty (Bob Graham) and Bernadette Finnerty. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
