He was predeceased by: his father Angelo Velez. He is survived by: his son Trevor Angel Velez; his mother Carmen Nieves; his sisters, Gisela Velez-Rivera (Eric), Beatriz Velez and Jessica Velez; and his nieces and nephews, Brianna, Yomayra, Emma Rivera, Ariana Montalvo, Angelina Ortiz, Justin Montalvo and E. J. Ortiz.
