Calvin W. Applegate Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Calvin W. Applegate Jr. of Bay Head, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin W. Sr. Applegate and Edna Applegate. He is survived by: his wife Maryann; his children, Tanya Lees (Michael), Calvin Applegate (Eileen) and Sharon Bryant (Jason); his grandchildren, Kayla Morgan (Kevin), Brooke McCarthy (Hunter Fairchild), Abigail Wyatt (Chris), Molly, Ava, Charlotte Applegate, Lillian and Jack Bryant; his great grandchildren, Henry, Charlie Morgan and Riley Wyatt; and his brothers, Jeffrey Applegate (Nancy) and Fredrick Applegate (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home (812 Arnold Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church (423 W Lake Ave, Bay Head, NJ 08742). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bay Head Firehouse (81 Bridge Ave, Bay Head, NJ 08742).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bay Head Fire Department, PO Box 111, Bay Head, NJ 08742, in honor of Skip's lifelong dedication to his community and service.
