He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gaynor and Elizabeth Gaynor. He is survived by: his sisters, Janet and Patricia; his children, Natalie, Jeff and Rachel; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Henry and Stella. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home (101 S Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center (310 South Street, 4th floor Morristown, NJ 07960).
