It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph John Matyas of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Veronica Matyas and John Matyas; his siblings, Rose, George, John, Casper (Gaza) and Fred; and his grandsons, Joseph and Wyatt Matyas.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kukura Matyas; his daughters, Kristin (Brian Bewick), Sharon Matyas (Lisa Sadowski) and Elena Matyas (Doug Forbes); his stepdaughter Cathy (Patrick Curham); his granddaughters, Roxie Forbes and Safira Rodriguez; his uncle Joe; and also Diane Redfield. He is also survived by children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
