He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Elmer Short and Lillian Short (Humpesch); his wife Marie A. Short (Annette); his sister Beverly Wosnitzer; his daughters, Susan Short and Carolyn Sanchez; his son-in-law John Karl; and his grandchildren, Morgan Sanchez (Jesse Cummings), William Short, Evelyn O'Hara-Short, Kent Sanchez, Lilian O'Hara-Short, Elijah Short and Luke Short.
