He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Taryla, and Katherine Taryla, Sr. (Thurston); his former wife Eileen; and his brothers, Frank and John.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Farrell-Snoad of Barnegat; his sons, Michael Taryla (Lynda) and James Taryla (Doreen); and his brothers, David, Kenneth and Joseph Taryla.
