He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Shields and Dorothy Shields; his wife Lois Shields; his children, Leslie (Jeff Salkin) and James Shields (Rebecca); his brother Donald; his grandchildren, Allison, Nicole Salkin, Sydney, Taylor and Trevor Shields; his nephew Jeffrey; and his great-nieces, Holly Gallagher and Heather Shields.
