He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Tirrell and Elizabeth V. Tirrell (Hanlon); and his son Walter P. Tirrell. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Tirrell (Donley); his children, Suzanne (John Lacey), Andrea Fox of Virginia Beach, VA, John Tirrell of Ocean Grove, NJ and Pamela (Robert Shimko); and his siblings, Kathryn Rafalko (Renee) of Dallas, TX, Mary Jane Moran of Williamsburg, VA and Thomas Tirrell of Cherry Hill, NJ.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 9 greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ 07719). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Saint Mark's Church (215 Crescent Pkwy, Sea Girt, NJ 08750).
