With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene J. Van Cleve of Barnegat, New Jersey, born in Avon by the Sea, New Jersey, who passed away on July 5, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cleve and Mary Van Cleve. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his daughters, Mary Van Cleve and Margaret Rochio; his siblings, Walter Van Cleve, Elizabeth Van Cleve and Eileen Doherty; his friend Patricia Lawless; and his children, Eugene J., Jr., Mark P., Matthew, Michael Van Cleve, Victoria Johnson, Christine Mc Grath and Nancy Ward. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; soon to be 14 great grandchildren.
