It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard William Kernan of Avon by the Sea, New Jersey, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bart Kernan and Elizabeth Kernan; his wife Margaret Murray (Peg); his former wife Joan Doris Pedley (NJ); his siblings, Bart Jr., Doris, Mary and Bernice; and his sons, Kevin (Deborah) and Keith (Suzanne).
He is survived by: his sister Carol Flynn (Richard) of Orange, CT; his daughter Kara Sheehan (Kevin) of Washington, DC; and his stepdaughters, Beth Murray (Greg Guimond) of Chatham, NJ and Carolyn Murray of Chatham, NJ. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
