With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John S. McAleer Jr. (Avon by the Sea, New Jersey), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 22, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John S McAleer Sr. and Loretta McAleer; his sister Joanne McAleer Hough; and his brother-in-law Richard Kocur. He is survived by: his son Jack; his wife Ellyn (Brown); his sons, Scott (Cathleen), Brian and Chris (Megan); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Matthew, Connor, Brynn and Aidan; his siblings, Jane Kocur, Judy Majeski (Ron) and Jim McAleer (Linda); and his brother-in-law Tracy Hough. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews.
