It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas J. Coester of Avenel, New Jersey, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Thomas may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Coester and Jacqueline Coester. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Coester; his daughters, Carli Collins (Mark) of Hamilton, Patricia Dobrowski (Chris) of Jersey City and Brittany Dobrowski of Fords; his sister Lauren Gallagher (Jim) of Fair Haven; his nephew George "Buddy" Zadroga of Keyport; and his brother Andrew Coester of Keasbey.

Viewing was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home - Woodbridge (44 Green St, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095).

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at (stjude.org) would be greatly appreciated by his family.
