He is survived by: his wife Linda Zipfel Hopta; his sons, Scott Hopta (Jillian) of Manalapan and Tim Hopta (Ashley) of Bridgewater; his siblings, Nancy DiCarlo of Bedminster, Susan Ziesemer of Uncasville, CT and Dennis Hopta of Newbury, VT; and his grandson Jake.
