With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard A. Olsen of Avenel, New Jersey, born in Carteret, New Jersey, who passed away on January 15, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother O. Leonard Olsen. He is survived by: his wife Gisela Olsen; his children, Karin Hallenbeck (Gene) of Middletown, NJ, Heide DePalma (Nick) of Avenel, Olav Olsen (Kim) of New York, NY and Amy Griffith (Lee) of Haddon Heights, NJ; his grandchildren, Krista, Erika, Anna Sophia, Olav, Tyler, Kaia, Bryn and Kierstyn; and his child Tante Lillian. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
