He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Herens and Margaret Herens; and his brother Edward. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer; his children, Nolan and Erika Herens; and his siblings, Geraldine Shinn, John Herens and Jacqueline Herens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
