He was predeceased by: his parent Jean Beer; and his sister Dorothy. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughters, Linda Geserick (Glen), Gloria May (Herb), Laura Mooney (John), Teresa Bargas and Diana Giosia (Robert); his grandchildren, Laura, Glen, Samantha, Stephanie, John, Shayla and Kevin; his great grandchildren, Ella, Saylor, Delaney and Tatum; and his siblings, Amelia "Mazzi" Jackson and Jean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
