He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Verdier; his stepfather Spencer Lang; his mother Thelma Lang; his siblings, Lois Wright, Delores Verdier and Jackie Verdier; and his niece Dawn Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Estella Jenkins; his daughters, Thelma Hurley (David), Darlene Jenkins, Melonese Jenkins, Barbara Schenck (Gerald Jr.) and Mamie Jenkins; his grandsons, Milton Anthony Jenkins (Victoria), David Milton Hurley, Gerald Allen Schenck III and Phillip Jackson Schenck; and his nieces, Patricia, June, Yvonne and Denise. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
