He was predeceased by: his father John Willer; his adoptive father Neil (Esther Duffy); and his former wife Barbara Anne. He is survived by: his close friend Charlie Smith; his wife Maureen; his children, Anne R. Carr (Shaun), Peter H. Duffy (Michelle) and Kathryn W. Duffy; his grandchildren, Shaun P. Carr, Carolyn A. Carr, John W. Duffy, Bryan M. Sharp, Geoffrey C. Duffy, Dylan J. Carr and Daniel T. Carr; and his stepchildren, Lois Kelly (Jim), Lisa Nagel and George Newman. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at 217 Northfield Ave, Northfield, NJ 08225. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or organizations supporting veterans, causes that held deep meaning to George.
