He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth Pascarello; his daughters, Elaine Merkl and Kathaleen Scamoffa (Richard); and his grandchildren, Daniel Merkl (Kathleen), Allison Hemingway (Peter), Adam Scamoffa (Elizabeth), Amber Scamoffa and Jeffrey Merkl.
