He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene F. Fonseca, Sr. and Ellen Hunt; and his children, Rene F. Fonseca III and Jennifer Fonseca. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Fonseca; his son Daniel Fonseca; his grandson Daniel Fonseca, Jr.; and his siblings, William Fonseca (Eileen), Amy Flynn (George) and Erik Sullivan. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory (441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
