He is survived by: his wife Inge; his daughters, Barbara Stahl (Bruce) and Betty Bagnani (David); his grandchildren, Bethanie, Benjamin, Bruce, Baillie, Bonnie, Claire and April; and his sister Lorraine S. Merryman. He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
