He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert H. Wood, Sr. and Anita Wood (Hurter); and his brother John Wood (Jack). He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Wood (Lang); his children, John Wood (Carla Franceski Wood) of Lancaster, PA, Herbert Wood III (Melody Wood) of Woodstown, NJ and Colleen Raco (Jim Duda) of Hammonton, NJ.; his grandchildren, Stephanie Wood, Lindsey Thomas, Kimberly Ruocco, Heather Chew, Melissa Raco, Joseph Raco, Bryan Wood and Sarah Wood; his great grandchildren, Kayla Wood, Leah Butcher, Dylan, Colin Thomas, Kamilla and Colston Chew; and his sister Patricia McSorley (Richard).
